Alekerange Borefield Development

The Alekerange borefield development has taken place on the Warrabri Aboriginal Land Trust (400km north of Alice Springs) to support the Alekarenge Horticulture Farm 1.

The Alekerange  borefield development involved managing a work program including drilling, bore development, pump testing, strata and water sampling and analysis, hydrogeological assessment and development of a borefield operational plan. There is also a requirement for a groundwater monitoring program which meets both the needs of the Traditional Owners of the land, the lessee and the Northern Territory government.

Extensive consultation was undertaken with the Traditional Owners and residents of Ali Curung community prior to any developments taking place.
